the dry red earth of western queensland makes the drought
a tangible presence in the city

today i photographed a buddhist wedding...
in a very beautiful woodland glade.

guests were asked to place stones in a glass bowl,
stones energised with their well-wishes
for the happy couple

and in a very community-oriented celebration
Kurt and Kathy
became united before their friends and family

it was a simple, yet beautiful ceremony
and i was honoured to be there.
